ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE INCREASE OF THE BASE INTEREST RATE

Société Générale Cyprus Limited taking into consideration the conditions of Cyprus and International markets announces the increase of the Base Interest Rate from 4.50% to 5.00%, valid as from 03/07/2008. Η Société Générale Cyprus Limited, αφού αξιολόγησε τις συνθήκες που επικρατούν στην Κυπριακή και διεθνή αγορά, αποφάσισε την αύξηση του βασικού επιτοκίου της από 4.50% σε 5.00% με ισχύ από 03/07/2008.

Société Générale Cyprus Limited taking into consideration the conditions of Cyprus and International markets announces the increase of the Base Interest Rate from 4.50% to 5.00%, valid as from 03/07/2008. This is a Variable Interest Rate, and Société Générale Cyprus Limited will fix it at times at its absolute discretion, according to the current financial conditions, the official interest rates at the international bond markets, and the interest rates of the Interbank market (Euribor).

The increase concerns only the debit interest rates (current accounts and loans, including housing loans), which are connected with the Base Interest Rate of Société Générale Cyprus Limited.

From the above increase of Base Interest Rate, the following are excluded:

Loans, which have been granted prior to 1/1/2008, and they were connected, at that time, with the Base Interest Rate of Société Générale Cyprus Limited, the Base Interest Rate of which remains at 4% (minimum bid rate on the main refinancing operations of the European Central Bank).

Lending facilities of which the Interest Rate is not connected to the Base Interest Rate of Société Générale Cyprus Limited such as Euribor or Libor or which bear fixed Interest Rate.

The Interest Rates of existing deposits.


Η Société Générale Cyprus Limited, αφού αξιολόγησε τις συνθήκες που επικρατούν στην Κυπριακή και διεθνή αγορά, αποφάσισε την αύξηση του βασικού επιτοκίου της από 4.50% σε 5.00% με ισχύ από 03/07/2008. Το εν λόγω επιτόκιο είναι μεταβλητό, και θα καθορίζεται από την Société Générale Cyprus Limited κατά την απόλυτη κρίση της, σύμφωνα με τις τρέχουσες οικονομικές συνθήκες, τα επίσημα επιτόκια στις διεθνείς αγορές ομολόγων, και τα επιτόκια της διατραπεζικής αγοράς (Euribor).

Η αύξηση επηρεάζει μόνον τα επιτόκια χορηγήσεων (τρεχούμενων λογαριασμών και δανείων, συμπεριλαμβανομένων και των στεγαστικών δανείων) που είναι συνδεδεμένα με το Βασικό Επιτόκιο της Société Générale Cyprus Limited.

Από την πιο πάνω αύξηση του Βασικού Επιτοκίου εξαιρούνται:

Τα δάνεια που έχουν χορηγηθεί πριν την 01/01/2008 και ήταν τότε συνδεδεμένα με το Βασικό Επιτόκιο της Société Générale Cyprus Limited, των οποίων το Βασικό Επιτόκιο παραμένει το 4.00% (ελάχιστο επιτόκιο προσφοράς για τις πράξεις κύριας αναχρηματοδότησης της Ευρωπαϊκής Κεντρικής Τράπεζας).

Οι χορηγήσεις των οποίων το επιτόκιο δεν είναι συνδεδεμένο με το βασικό επιτόκιο της Société Générale Cyprus Limited όπως Euribor ή Libor ή που φέρουν σταθερό επιτόκιο.
